Samsung wanted to meaningfully engage the gaming community in Spain and Portugal beyond traditional advertising, showcasing the performance and AI capabilities of the Galaxy S24 Ultra in a context that resonated with a digitally native, experience-driven audience.SOLUTION
Cheil Spain and Samsung launched "Samsung Galaxy Portals", a custom Fornite challenge that turned the world's most popular game into an immersive brand experience inspired by the internal design of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. Players compete in the Samsung Galaxy Portals Deathrun map, a custom level built with Unreal Engine, aiming to complete the run in record time. Top performers earn prizes like a Galaxy S24 Ultra and the chance to represent Spain or Portugal in a live Galaxy Portals Arena event, strengthening community connection and aligning Samsung with cutting-edge gaming culture.
RESULTS
The activation delivered a dynamic and participatory experience for the Fortnite community, driving strong engagement and participation across both Spain and Portugal. It amplified Samsung's association with innovation, performance and gaming culture, while the live event brought the digital competition into the real world and enhanced brand visibility through creator-led streams and social media amplification.
We modified the most popular game for Gen Z's to show them how AI can help them to win in Fortnite. But also a way to show Gen Z's, in their own world, how AI can help them in their everyday life.
