Cheil Worldwide is awarded two prizes at Cannes Lions 2008 - the only Korean agency to be recognized within the leading international advertising awards festival Cheil Worldwide came home with two awards from Cannes Lions 2008. As the only Korean agency to have been recognized as a recipient of awards, Cheil Worldwide was awarded prizes in the following categories:
1. Outdoor Advertising (Transit):
Campaign: PLUS TO YOUR LIFE - HOMEPLUS
Client: Samsung Tesco
Award: Bronze
2. Cyber Young Lions Competition
Seokjin Shin, Art Director, Cheil Worldwide Joong Sik Choi, Student (Hallym University)
Award: Silver This is the first time in history that Cheil Worldwide has been awarded a prize in the Young Lions Competition. The winner, Mr. Seokjin Shin joined Cheil Worldwide in February 2008.
The last time Cheil Worldwide came home with an award from Cannes Lions was in 1997 (gold) and 1991 (silver.)
