Seoul, May 8, 2007 : Cheil Communications has produced a stylish, fast-paced TV spot for Samsung Camera's popular NV Series of digital compacts.
The spot highlights the NV Series' intuitive 'Smart Touch' user interface during the course of a footrace through the streets of Buenos Aires.
Shot in the Argentinean capital, the ad begins with a bag snatcher making off with the handbag of a woman who is sitting at an outdoor cafe. A man at a nearby table gives chase and, with a NV Series digital camera in one hand, is able to snap several shots of the villain's face using the motion capture setting. As the chase continues, the man follows the bag snatcher into a dark warehouse, but he is nearly rundown as the villain speeds away in a blue car. However, as the car accelerates away, the man is able zoom in on the car's number plate with the camera's 5x optical zoom.
The man returns to the cafe and shows the photos to the distressed woman. But there is a twist, as she flicks through to the start of the sequence, she discovers a series of photos of herself taken surreptitiously by the man before the bag snatcher's intrusion.
The spot, which focuses on the NV7, NV10, and NV11 models, aims to capture the cameras' sophisticated features in a way that is fun and engaging for the 25-35 emographic.
The advertisement launched in Russia on May 1, 2007 and will follow in markets in Europe and other regions.
